The Bureau is comprised of approximately
50 sworn and non-sworn personnel. There are six major divisions contained
within the bureau: The
Personnel Division which encompasses
the personnel and recruitment units; The
Support Service Division
which consists of Records, Intake, and Property & Evidence;
The Operational Skills Unit which is responsible for all
Departmental training;
The Professional Standards
Division which is responsible for keeping
the department accredited;
The Fiscal Division and the Internal
Affairs Division.
The Administrative Services Bureau is the point of
contact for information concerning recruiting, screening, background
investigations, and selection of new employees for the Gainesville Police
Department. Information concerning benefits, compensation, or other
personnel issues should be directed to this Division.
