The mission of the Community Resource Division (CRD) is to form a partnership with the citizens of Gainesville to prevent crime. Citizens and police officers mutually identify problems in the community and work together to create viable solutions. Through this type of cooperation, GPD operates with increased efficiency and citizens enjoy an increased sense of community awareness and an enhanced quality of life.
