INCIDENT REPORT AND TRAFFIC CRASH REPORT REQUEST

To insure that your request is processed accurately and expediently, the following information must be typed in completely. All records are screened and edited according to Florida Public Record Laws.

Copies of incident reports, or traffic crash reports may be mailed or picked up at the front desk located in the Police Department lobby (721 N.W. 6th Street). Please note: NO REPORT OR REQUESTED INFORMATION WILL BE FAXED.

The Gainesville Police Department releases information relating to incidents which occur within the City limits of Gainesville only.

Incident Report Information
NOTE: The City of Gainesville provides the first ten pages of a public record request at no cost. If the nature or volume of the public record to be copied is extensive in nature or volume, the agency may charge in addition to the actual cost of duplication (.15 cents per page after the first ten copies), a special service fee based on the labor cost of personnel providing the service (F.S.119.07 (1)b.

The Gainesville Police Department maintains the right to waive fees less than one (1) dollar.

Traffic Crash Report Request Information
When a crash report is requested from our agency, a $2.00 charge will be applied for each report.
