GPDALERT, powered by TipSoft Mobile Alerts is GPD's text and email notification service for incidents that occur within the City of Gainesville*.  Use the form to the left to sign up for alerts.  

You can choose to receive text alerts, email alerts or both..

GPDALERTs will appear in your text message or email from "server@tipsoftonline.com"

What type of incidents may trigger a GPDALERT?
  • Violent crimes where the suspect has not been apprehended.
  • Significant critical incidents that pose a public safety threat.
  • Any other incident that may constitute a significant emergency to the public.
  • GPD ALERTs are only issued when an active threat to public safety exists.

COVERAGE AREA:
GPD ALERTs are only issued for incidents that occur within the City of Gainesville.
The University of Florida provides the UF Alert service for campus areas only.

TRAFFIC ALERTS:

GPD also issues TRAFFIC Alerts when a crash or other event significantly affects traffic flow.  Simply select ALL in the "Alert Group" drop box to receive TRAFFIC Alerts in addition to GPDALERTs.
