The Court Liaison staff processes and serves all subpoenas and court notices for GPD department members. This office schedules court appearances with consideration of shift schedules and days off, whenever possible. The Court Liaison works with the State Attorney's office, Public Defender's office, private attorneys, Judicial staff, and Clerk's office to assure Officers are available for court when needed and that they are notified of cancellations in a timely manner. This office also serves as a liaison between these other agencies and GPD members, fielding questions and forwarding information requests pertaining to court. Court appearances are verified to ensure proper payment of overtime and witness fees for those officers appearing for court during their off-duty time. The Court Liaison Specialists can be
