Crime Trend Forecast: Based on existing and past criminal activities, the Crime Analyst will attempt to forecast future criminal activity.

Resources Allocations: Using crime data to conduct staffing deployment studies.

Situational Analysis: Provides data on crime areas for proactive crime prevention efforts.

TACTICAL ANALYSIS - Deals with specific crime trends, patterns, series, and hotspot areas.

Crime Pattern/Series: Focus is on the criminals "mode of operation" (M.O.), the crime's day/time/location pattern, and similar past crimes.

Crime/Suspect Correlation: Identifies suspects for specific crimes based on known offender data.

Target/Suspect Profiles: Identifies and tracks specific "known offenders" (sex offenders, career criminals, etc.)
